Hartatory Exposition

Tujuan teks ini untuk meyakinkan/memengaruhi pembaca sesuatu itu sebenarnya demikian/tidak demikian. Dalam penulisan hartatory Exposition ada tiga bagian yaitu:

a.  Thesis, berisi tentang sesuatu pernyataan tentang permasalahaan tertentu. Biasanya diawali dengan kalimat personally think, in my opinion, I believe, dan lain lain

b.    Arguments, berisi tentang alasan – alasan untuk mendukung thesis yang dikemukakan. Diawali dengan kata –kata atau frase first, second, furthermore, in addition, the last, dan lain - lain

c.    Recommendation, berisi tentang saran dari penulis atas thesis dan arguments yang dikemukakan. Biasanya ada kata – kata should, should not, ought, ought not to, dan lain – lain.

Reading is very important in our life

I personally think that reading is very important activity in our life. Why do I say so? Firstly, by reading we can get a lot of knowledge about many thing in the world such as science, technology, sports, arts, culture,etc written in either books, magazine,newspapers,etc.

Secondly, by reading we can get a lot of news and imformation about something happening in any parts of the world which can we see directly.

Another reason reading can give us pleasure too. When we are tired, we read books, newspapers or magazine on the entertainment column such as comedy, short story, quiz, etc.. to make us relax.

The last, reading can also take us to other parts of the world. By reading a book about Irian Jaya we may feel  we’re really sitting in the jungles not at home in our room.

From the fact above, it’s obvious that everyone needs to read to get knowledge, imformation and also entertainment. Or in summary we can say reading is truly important in our live.

Smoking should be banned in all public places. It will help us have healthy human resources.

Arguments

It is well known that smoking causes lung cancer that leads to death. It is also been proven that cigarette smoke can harm non smoker when they are arund people who smoke. Statistics show that there is a greater possibility for non-smokers to suffer from lung cancer that people who don’t have any contact with cigarette at all.

Recommendation

Considering the fact, it seems logical to ban smoking in all public places.
